Let's Take a Look at the Pros and Cons of Both Types of Accounts

Summary
In order to have maximum flexibility with your Weebly website, you'll need to upgrade to a Pro Account. This is totally optional, and as you can see, there is a lot that you can do with a free account. However, if you want the added function and flexibility, upgrading is a smart way to go. You'll get all of the features available in the free version, including the super-simple-to-use user interface to add elements, plus the features listed in the image below.
Upgrading only costs a few dollars a month (depending on how long your term is - it's a bit more expensive for a shorter term of 6 months and least expensive per month for a longer term of 2 years - but you pay up front, so you're locked into that term).

I think you'll see that some of the features that are available in the Pro Account are well worth a few bucks a month. First of all, you'll be able to take the dreaded .weebly.com addition off your url. The ability to do that alone will increase your perception of professionalism exponentially. Of course, as I stated above, you'll still have to buy a domain name, but you can get one from GoDaddy for $5.99 by clicking this link.
You'll also be able to change or remove the Weebly footer that is at the bottom of every page (if you haven't seen it by now, scroll down and take a look at the one on this free website). Another great feature add is the ability to embed documents. Let's say you want to offer people a downloadable eBook that you've written. You can't do that with the free version of Weebly, but you can if you upgrade.
You can also get started working on getting more people to your website by using the $100 Google AdWords credit (again, learning how to use Google Adwords is a large topic that I can't discuss here, but look for it on my Easy Website Setup Guide website!). You can also add videos to your site, which could be important to you if you want to build credibility by offering testimonial videos or product demonstrations that don't have the YouTube branding on the bottom.
